April photos

All in a day's work... and looking good!

Leaving for a trip away from camp.
Some of the guards that keep our boy safe when he's out of camp. Thank goodness for spare tires!

A weather blimp, one of many according to Rob.

Baghdad buckeyes

Contrary to popular belief, buckeyes can make the trip, they don't last long but they do make the trip. Thanks again.

My hooch. inside and out.

Here are some more pictures of Iraq and my recent trip to the International Zone. I just got into my room when they called for incoming. I start taking pictures..... go figure.

Nice Day

Hey guys, tried to load this a few times but who knows. The camera is perfect, it really is orange. I will try to load more later.

Besides the dogs, there are birds. This was cool a mom goose and her babies. What do you think? pretty cool.

Sunrise in Baghdad. The moon is just getting ready to go into a new moon. I can see the big dipper and Orion over here. I hear the sunsets in the summer are awesome. I will have to keep you all posted.

New Iraq info

Constant flights, that is the most surprising thing about being here in Baghdad. There is always something in the air. These are two black hawks touching down. At times they come right over the vehicles, that is scary but I bet the pilots do it on purpose.

Latest pics as of 3-31

The other day I asked Rob to send us some pictures of what it was like over there. What was the Green Zone wall like and these wild dogs he was talking about? So, here are some of those pictures.

The view from the Corps' area. The Green Zone wall.

One of the many wild dogs. I think it looks more like a wolf. Rob says they live in burrows near the rivers and make tunnels to get around.

One of the many dust storms he and all the soldiers endure
